Many of the issues that can occur with the modem can often be caused by removing the modem without using the Safely Remove Hardware icon or shutting down the Vodafone software or computer before removing the modem. To help avoid these issues please follow the steps below
Check that when removing the modem that the Vodafone mobile connect software has been shut down by clicking File in the top left of the software, then clicking Exit, then when prompted if you want to close the software click Yes.
You can then use the Safely Remove Hardware icon beside the clock in the bottom right of the screen (sometimes you will need to click the arrow pointing to the left beside the clock for this to appear). Shutting down the computer and then removing the modem will also not cause an issue.
