I can't send or receive picture messages (MMS). What should I do?

I can't send picture messages

Have you ever sent a picture message?

To receive a picture messages on your phone you must send one first. If you have never sent a picture message before, this may be the reason you aren’t receiving your messages so try this first.

Checking your phone’s settings

To send or receive picture messages, your phone needs to have the correct Vodafone settings installed.

If you bought your phone from a Vodafone retail store then your phone should have the correct settings already to enable you to send/receive MMS.
If you're using your phone from a different network then you should have received your settings as a text message. Just save the settings when prompted.

How do I update my MMS settings?

Here are three simple ways you can update your phone settings:

  1. Login to My Vodafone and send the settings to your handset.
  2. Check out our interactive device guide and follow the step-by-step instructions for inputting the correct details.
  3. Android smartphone customers can download Vodafone Ireland settings app (Please note Android 4.0+ is not supported).

Troubleshooting guides
